I get a lot of Silver. One black on a Griff run and that was it for black dye for me.

Everyone has there Fishing hole.....
I don't think its effected by favor from what i have seen but it does seem to come in waves. I personally farm Avicara,trolls,grawl (in small groups), and giants with my monk between droknar and rankor and also do the heards of troll not far to the north of rankor to beacon perch but tanke sprint the farm rankor. I average 1 black dye a day farming sometimes 2 and wood for as far as the eye can see occasionally a superior rune have found several vigors. I never do well in desert except in dunes ( excellent gold weapon drops ). UW I always get squat in.
So i think the game has some kinda random selection as to where it drops best for you. Dunno but thats my personal opinion. |

i was doing this quest i got in piken square, i got a black dye, silver dye a serpent axe (no where near max dmg though) and a major rune of something (i forgot) i htink that was a pretty good run.

I belive the dye drop is random in itself.
1/8 chance to be black or blue or silver or red ect... But when I did riverside runs SO LONG AGO I made a thread here showing 3 gold armors dropping from 5 tengu... on other days I would just get constant dye drops... |

Well, sometimes you you get lucky.. bought 5 shiverpeak keyes, decided to have some fun, opened some chests around grenths footprints.. got 1 purple staff, 1 gold hammer.. and 3 superior vigors O_O
